This leader in global credit card processing made the strategic decision to enter the debit payments market. The organization recognized that they lacked experience in managing large, complex, business change and system development projects and sought 3rd party assistance. A Program Management Office structure was implemented specifically for this program to provide guidance for the individual initiatives as well as to provide cross-team management and architecture support. Program and project management mentoring services were also provided throughout the engagement.
Enterprise Business Relationship & Program Management Office
The Technology organization of this major print and digital media institution had numerous service delivery challenges that stemmed from unclear business liaison responsibilities, immature and inconsistent lifecycle and project management disciplines, and no formal career paths. 3rd party assistance was leveraged to re-designed the technology organization, creating five “shared service” departments with clear lines of responsibility tightly integrated with the organization’s business units. Multiple business relationship management and project management improvement initiatives were implemented in parallel with the re-organization.
