Sherri Wimes has over 25 years of human resource experience with focus areas of insurance, financial services, start-ups and public-sector administration. Sherri’s experience includes consulting with organizations to build and deliver sustainable human capital strategies and programs. As Vice President of Talent Management at Ameritas Life Insurance Corp., Sherri had responsibility for talent acquisition, performance management, onboarding, business partner consulting, learning, organizational development, associate relations, engagement, leadership development and succession management.
Before joining Ameritas, Sherri directed human resource programs for the State of Nebraska and was a Chief Negotiator on behalf of multiple Governors. Her scope included salary administration, policy development, grievance resolution, performance management, payroll, compliance, recruiting and training.
Sherri holds a BA Human Relations from Doane University, along with several professional certifications.
